CSTR characterization

Quantities industrially used to characterize CSTRs behavior are the power number and a series of discharge numbers (discharge flow number, induced flow number and secondary circulation flow number). The pumping efficiency, defined as the ratio of discharge flow number on power number, is also used as a measure of effectiveness of the impeller for generating mean flow per unit of power input. These quantities are computed for the configurations examined as described in the next sections.
